A group of friends who grew up spending time and singing together in Hvar decided to take their singing to a higher level by forming a men’s vocal group – Klapa Galešnik – in late 2002.

The following year they appeared at their first-timers’ evening of the Dalmatian klapa festival in Omiš. After this debut, they made it to the finals of this most prestigious festival of klapa singing several times.

In the meantime, they have been frequent participants in Hvar’s cultural life. Their frequent performances have become its integral and recognizable part.

This productive period resulted in their first CD. issued in 2005.

Male vocal group “Galešnik” has sung in concerts all over Croatia and it is a frequent ambassador of the cultural heritage of Dalmatia outside the country, as well.

The artistic director of Male vocal group “Galešnik” is Professor Tomi Domančić.
