Andrey Gugnin was born in 1987. Aftergraduating from the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoryunder the mentorship of Vera Gornostaeva, he was invited to join the Moscow State Philharmonic Society’s project for promising musicians, Stars of the 21st Century, as a regular participant. Since 2016 he has been studying at the Lake Como International Piano Academy under Stanislav Ioudenitch and William Naboré.
Andrey has toured more than 20 countries as a recitalist, a chamber music partner, and as a concerto soloist, playing at concert venues as famous as Vienna’s Musikverein, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Salt Lake City’s Abravanel Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, Moscow State Conservatory’s Grad Hall, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok, the Louvre Auditorium in Paris, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, and others.
Following a successful debut at the Royal Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and many other performances, Gugnin has begun the current season, which will include more than 150 concerts across the world; a tour with Israel Camerata Orchestra, a series of concerts in which he will play all of Beethoven’s piano concertos with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra; and working with conductors such as Jaap Van Zweden, Valery Gergiev, Reinbert de Leeuw, Daniel Raiskin, JurajValcuha, and others.
